Following on from the highly successful series, The 1900 House, we take three modern American families to Montana where they have to build themselves a house, work the land and raise and slaughter animals for food. The families are allowed nothing which was invented after 1880. How they will cope with no modern amenities for six months makes compulsive viewing.
