This hour-long film provides an update on the lives of the children featured in the previous films, as well as introducing a new group of gifted children who have come forward since the previous films were made.
This new group of gifted children pay a visit to Professor Joan Freeman, who IQ tests each child – in a similar manner to the IQ tests Prof Freeman conducted on the children who took part in the previous films. As in the previous films, Prof Freeman also provides insight into how to deal with everyday life as a gifted child and as the parent of a gifted child – whilst acknowledging that every situation is different.
This film also examines the dilemmas of educating a gifted child. Whilst they have intellectual needs and pressures that only come with being gifted, they nevertheless remain children, with a child’s emotional and practical needs. How do you balance or reconcile the two.
