Should the law be changed to grant non-human great apes the same basic moral and legal protection that only human beings currently enjoy?  This programme debates some of the aims of the Great Ape Project in a hypothetical court case, with QCs (Queen's Counsels) and expert witnesses presenting a panel of jurors with evidence for and against.
