Wall to Wall (a Shed Media Group company) is delighted to announce the appointment of Moira Ross in the newly created role of Head of Entertainment, where she will be responsible for all of Wall to Wall's entertainment output.  Her initial role will be as Executive Producer on the first series of the global hit format The Voice UK for BBC One in early 2012. Thereafter, she will be responsible for developing and delivering other entertainment formats for all major broadcasters.  She will take up her role in January 2012.

Ross is currently the BBC's Editor of Format Entertainment and the Executive Producer of Strictly Come Dancing.  She is credited with successfully re-launching Strictly in 2010 with the highest rating series in the show's history. She also oversees BBC in-house entertainment productions including Eurovision Song Contest, So You Think You Can Dance as well as Strictly Come Dancing and its sister show on BBC Two It Takes Two. Whilst running the BBC's format entertainment slate, she also heads up a development team devising new formats for BBC One.

Having consistently delivered successful BBC One Saturday night formats since 2008, Ross also has extensive experience of the international market, following a three year stint in LA as supervising producer of Dancing With The Stars (season 2 & 3) and as co-exec producer of Dance War for ABC.  She also spent a short time in China as a consultant on Last Choir Standing and Tonight's The Night.

Moira Ross: "There is no other show I would leave the BBC and Strictly Come Dancing for, but the opportunity to launch The Voice UK on BBC One and to join the wonderful team at Wall to Wall was just too great to pass up.  There's no denying I'll miss the ballroom, but I'm looking forward to discovering the UK's next singing sensation."

Leanne Klein, Creative Director at Wall to Wall, comments: "We're absolutely delighted to have someone of Moira's calibre joining us at this exciting time. Not only are we looking forward to making The Voice UK a huge returning hit for BBC One, we are also looking to establish ourselves as a major entertainment producer for all broadcasters and having Moira on board is a significant part of that strategy."

Mark Linsey, Controller, Entertainment Commissioning at the BBC: " I'd like to thank Moira for the amazing job she does on Strictly Come Dancing and am delighted she'll be staying with us until the end of this series.  It's great news for us that she'll be working on our next big Saturday night entertainment show for BBC One, The Voice UK, and I know she'll be a fabulous asset to that show and to Wall to Wall."
