The first episode of Long Lost Family, which aired on Thursday 21 April peaked with 4940 million viewers. Only beaten by the night’s run of soaps – Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Eastenders, the show stole a 22.3% share of the 9pm to 10pm slot. The episode saw twins Jennifer and Kathleen reunited after 66 years apart and a daughter, Karen who discovers and meets her father after 43 years as strangers.
