The series will see author of the bestselling Harry Potter series, JK Rowling investigate her late mother’s French ancestry. Beginning her hunt in Edinburgh, Rowling’s search takes her far and wide, from The Savoy in London, to once bloody battlefields and the back streets of urban Paris.
National treasure June Brown, loved for her role as busy-body Dot Cotton in EastEnders, is the oldest person to ever take part in Who Do You Think You Are? During her search to discover if she's a real Eastender, she unravels her Jewish heritage, visiting London, Amsterdam and landing in Spain, to uncover extraordinary acts of bravery and terrible tragedy.
This year’s stories uncover a wealth of intriguing and surprising circumstances including one of the bloodiest ever massacres on American soil, and cases of illegitimacy, slavery and baby borrowing.
