Ros Taylor, originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, started work in film and TV on the Catherine Cookson dramatisations for ITV. Starting off in production accounts, she went on to work for various other production companies on TV drama and film before moving into line producing.

In 2004 Ros became Head of Production for Shed Productions, overseeing drama series Waterloo Road, Young James Herriot, Hope Springs, Footballers’ Wives and Bad Girls as well as Sugartown, Catwalk Dogs and children’s drama, The Fugitives. Over the course of more than ten years at Shed Productions she played a key role in the company’s senior management team including the formation and execution of Shed Production’s business plans, culminating in Shed’s acquisition by Warner Bros. in 2010.

Ros went on to be Head of Production and then Head of Operations at Leopard Pictures, the drama arm of the Argonon Group, overseeing productions including the children’s drama, Eve, Mackenzie Crook’s Worzel Gummidge and the animated adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s Mimi and the Mountain Dragon. In 2020 Ros returned to Warner Bros. to work with Wall to Wall in the setting up of the return of Waterloo Road to BBC1, as well as working across the drama development slate, based at Wall to Wall North.
